    Senior Planner Job Profile:

    An international main contractor is looking for a Senior Planner to join their team working on pharmaceutical construction projects. This position is to be primarily based remotely (roughly 70% of the time) with some travel to site in Europe being required for a few days every couple of weeks. The first project will be in Belgium, with projects after this being all across Europe.

    This contractor largely works on life sciences and data centre construction projects across Europe, with most of their business being focused in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Switzerland (though they also have projects throughout the Nordics, some of Eastern Europe, and lots of Western Europe). This company is large with excellent opportunity for progression.

    Senior Planner Key Activities

    The successful Senior Planner will be responsible for the following tasks:

    • Produce and maintain schedules for life sciences construction projects
    • Develop and maintain progress databases
    • Progress reporting
    • Milestone projections, delay / float path analysis
    • Recording delay and disruption
    • Earned Value Management
    • Monitoring schedule performance and productivity
    • Site progress verification, including incorporating quality assessments
    • Attending schedule meetings, liaising with client and subcontractors
    • Preparation of tender schedules
    • Leading planning meetings and weekly work planning systems
    • Resource / cash loading of schedules
    • Providing data for payment applications
    • Completing contract review reports
    • Responsibility for quality and accuracy of schedules and reports


    Senior Planner Specification

    The following will be required of the Senior Planner:

    • Prior experience working on pharmaceutical, semi-conductor, or oil & gas projects is essential
    • Prior experience working for a main contractor is ideal
    • Must have thorough understanding of, and experience with, Primavera P6
    • Must have experience developing programmes from scratch
    • Must be able to work in the EU without requiring a new visa / work permit


    Senior Planner Personal Skills and Qualifications

    The successful Senior Planner will possess the following:

    • Preferably a degree in a relevant field
    • Must be eligible to work in the EU without require a new visa / work permit
