Project Manager

Project Manager Profile:

An international contractor is looking for a Project Manager to join their team working on data centre construction projects in Europe. This position is to be based predominantly onsite with some remote working. Rotation can be offered on a 10, 4 basis, with 10 days in country and 4 days at home if required.

This project is a hyperscale data centre and the Project Manager will be focusing on building envelope packages. The contractor has a large number of projects throughout Europe, predominantly in the data centre construction sector.

Project Manager Key Activities

The successful Project Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Take ownership for the project from the commercial handover process until project closure
• To create project programs that reflect the commercial and operational excellence at task execution level
• To facilitate communication across internal departments and external stakeholders
• To identify and include relevant stakeholder in the formulation of Plans for the site
• Manage and evaluate construction drawings, ensuring site folder is updated in line with any changes
• Monitor, manage, adjust programs throughout the project lifecycle ensuring risk mitigation and planning are fully considered
• Ability to look ahead and understand the milestone requirement prior to execution
• Liaising with HSEQ representative in implementing and monitoring best practice on site
• Responsibility for daily records and for weekly/monthly reports

Project Manager Specification

The following will be required of the Project Manager:

• Experience of Microsoft Project Planner or other similar programming systems.
• Good working knowledge of MS Suite
• Working knowledge of BIM would be an advantage.
• Ability both delegate and self-manage in a growing organisation.
• Ability to communicate through multiple digital platforms with the appropriate detail for stakeholders.
• Ability to lead teams and inspire confidence through effective communication and problem-solving.
• Flexibility and availability to travel when required.

Project Manager Personal Skills and Qualifications

The successful applicant will possess the following:

• 3^rd level qualification in building surveying, quantity surveying, construction, or related discipline.
• Previous Building Envelope/Roofing & Cladding Project Management experience desirable.
